Metacognition provides clinical psychology and neuropsychological assessment and
treatment to people of all ages. These services include:
- Psychological assessment and treatment for a wide range of both common and
complex mental health issues or behavioural problems that can occur across the
lifespan. This can include (but is not limited to) anxiety, depression, PTSD,
challenging behaviour, grief and adjustment, chronic pain, and interpersonal
difficulties. - We use a range of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) including Acceptance
and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based CBT, Metacognitive
Therapy, and Schema Therapy. - Neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation – including diagnostic
assessment of developmental disorders (e.g. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability), traumatic/acquired
brain injury, and age-related cognitive impairment and dementing disorders. - Independent medico-legal assessment, such as determination of mental capacity
- Clinical supervision.
